Fever

Rylinn has her two front teeth half way in now and is growing everyday. On Monday afternoon Rylinn was very warm so we took off her onsies and left in her diaper. She still stayed warm so we checked her temperature and it was 101.9 and with in 15 min rose to 102.2. We called the doctor just because we live an hour away from medical help and wanted to know if itwas more than her teeth. Plus she is allergic to fever medicine. He said it couldn't be her teeth because it was higher than 101. He also said to put cold compresses on her head and chest to help. Michael enjoyed this part and so did Rylinn. She likes having the cloth on her head. Her temperature did go down but I stayed home with her today to make sure it stayed down and that she did ok on the doses of fever medication I gave her. I think she be able to go to day care tomorrow.

Well I wrote the above early in the day. At 4:30 I took her temperature again and it was 102.8 and so we called the doctor and we switched to Motrin but that means we had to call the local markets and mini marts to see if they had it so we wouldn't have to drive an hour each way to get it. We found a local market 20 min. away that had but we had to get there before they closed at 7:00. We made it with a few min. to spare. We still have to watch for an adverse reaction with Motrin. By the time we went home her temperature was 98.6. We will see what happens tomorrow. I'm going to work half day because I need to collect a science project and send it to the science fair. It is good that she is the only one at the babysitters.
Here are pictures of Rylinn with a fever.

Sitting up

On Monday we had another snow day but it was a relaxing day at home. First I thought I would do something productive and do the landuary. Then I went up stairs and a fuse blew and I had to go out in the deep snow to trip the switch. I had to do about 6 times that day. Then I went to check the clothes in the dryer and they were still wet. Then our wood stove was blowing smoke in the house and we couldn't start fire. Rylinn and I were sitting around a space heater bundled up in many layers of clothes. So we had little heat, no dryer and the circuit kept popping. It made for an eventful day. The one positive thing that happened was Rylinn began sitting up by herself.
Here are some pictures from the day.

Petting Sadie

Rylinn enjoys the dog. Everytime Sadie walks by Rylinn gets excited and reaches out ot pet her. Sadie tolerates it for a couple mintues then she gets up and leaves. Sadie is very gentle with her. Everyday she spends a little more time with Rylinn. Rylinn giggles at her and always want to feel her fur. I think they will be good buddies in time.
